Alderstone Water Company is locally owned. Prospect runs along US 42: Harrods Creek, Hunting Creek, Paramont Estates, and river-adjacent lots that look at the Ohio. It is not one water source. Many streets are on Louisville Water. Some streets north and east are on wells. We say mix. We do not invent well results, and we do not treat every Prospect house as a well house.
The common call on city streets is hard-water film on glass and chrome. On some well streets, people also mention odor or sediment. That is a street-level difference, not a city-wide diagnosis.
Three jobs:
- Whole-home filter in Prospect — taste, odor, and sediment at every tap
- Water softener in Prospect — scale, spots, and soap
- Reverse osmosis in Prospect — kitchen drinking tap only
A Hunting Creek bath and a river lot off US 42 are not the same plumbing story. A filter does not stop film on glasses. A softener does not pull odor on a well street. RO does not treat the upstairs shower in Paramont Estates. We will not sell one tank for two jobs.
City water here is treated and regulated. Well pockets stay “some streets.” Quote the house you have.
