Anchorage is estate lots under a high canopy, not a subdivision grid. Evergreen Road is the way most people enter from Shelbyville Road. From there the streets widen: Glenbrook, Hazelwood, Bellewood, Woodland, Nutwood. Houses sit back from the pavement. Guest baths, soaking tubs, and long shower runs are normal. The Anchorage Independent School campus on Ridge Road is the civic center of that map. We write this page for those streets, not for a neighboring zip with the city name dropped in.
This is city water. Large homes, many fixtures. The two complaints we hear are specific. Scale shows up on several baths at once, not one hall bath. Chlorine hangs in long shower lines that travel under a wide lawn before they reach a second-floor head. Those are two jobs.
Light Up Anchorage and the Village Anchor sit at town-center scale. The water conversation is still private: a long lateral under oaks, a primary suite plus a guest wing, city water at a lot of fixtures. Osage and Hazelwood feel like park roads. They are still city service.
- Anchorage water softener — scale on many baths, spots, soap that will not rinse.
- Anchorage whole-home filter — chlorine and taste at every tap, including the far shower.
- Anchorage reverse osmosis — drinking and cooking at a kitchen faucet. It will not treat the guest bath.
Alderstone Water Company serves Anchorage as a city of canopy lots, not as a Metro add-on. We are not the utility. City water is treated and regulated. You call about comfort in a large house.
