Lyndon sits inside the Watterson. Westport Road is the north edge. Whipps Mill Road is the east. Shelbyville Road closes the south. That box is ranches and split-levels from the 1960s through the 1980s, with Lyndon Recreation and A.B. Sawyer Park on Whipps Mill as the Saturday landmark. Robsion Park, between Lake Avenue and La Grange Road, is the other civic piece. This page is for those streets, not for a neighboring small city with Lyndon typed over it.

Lyndon incorporated in 1965 so it would stay its own town. The housing stock from that era is still the job: one or two baths, a kitchen window over the sink, a dishwasher that has had decades to film everyday glass. Progress School at Whipps Mill and Wood Road is a reminder this was a crossroads before it was a loop-inside suburb.

City water. The complaints are dishwasher film and showerhead crust — the ranch pattern. Taste at every tap is a filter. The drinking glass alone is reverse osmosis. Westport Village is shopping. The work is the houses behind it, and the Whipps Mill side toward the rec fields.

Alderstone Water Company is a Louisville-area shop writing Lyndon as its own box inside the Watterson. We are not the utility. City water is treated and regulated. You call because the ranch is showing the water at the fixtures.
