Alderstone Water Company is locally owned. Middletown is the East End city along Shelbyville Road and I-265 (Gene Snyder) — the Historic District on Main Street, then the 1990s–2010s subdivisions that fan toward Lake Forest. Norton Commons sits nearby. It is not Middletown proper, and we do not write it as if it were.
This is city water, not a well town. People still call from those subdivisions about dishwasher spots and white crust on fixtures. Taste at every tap is a different conversation from scale on chrome.
Three jobs:
- Whole-home filter in Middletown — taste, odor, and sediment at every tap
- Water softener in Middletown — scale, spots, and soap
- Reverse osmosis in Middletown — kitchen drinking tap only
Main Street cottages and the newer cul-de-sacs off Shelbyville Road do not need the same pitch. The Historic District is smaller lots and older lines. Lake Forest-edge houses are builder plumbing from the last few decades. Either way, a filter does not stop the crust on a faucet. A softener does not fix the shower smell. RO does not treat the upstairs bath.
City water is treated and regulated. This page is not a scare. Quote the house you actually have.
